Bohus PMC from Sweden has successfully started up a new paper roll wrapper at Papelera de Oria, Villabona, Guipúzcoa.
The wrapping machine is semi-automatic and is based on spiral applicationi of plastic stretchfilm along the roll body, while corrugated board headers are used to protect the roll ends.
It shall furthermore be high-lighted that the wrapper is of vertical design which have made it possible to install it in a quite limited available space and still obtain the same quality advantages as in a large horizontal wrapper.
The purpose of the investment has been to make a good looking and high quality roll protection, and at the same type improve the working environment for the operators at the mill. Papelera Oria confirms that both purposes have been complied with,
All paper rolls in the mill are processed in the new wrapper
