The new power plant at Saica Venizel has been awarded to Bertsch energy based on its fluidized bed technoogy. The project required a complete package with as few interfaces as possible to the paper mill and the entire thermal disposal incuding flue gas cleaning, air and flue gas system, various condensate and heat recovery systems are part of the scope of supply of BERTSCH energy.
The rejects and residuals from the paper mill are being separated to form a substitutive fuel RDF, which together with recycled wood will comply with the steam demand of the boiler, needed by the mill.
Due to the characteristics of the fuels, the WID (waste incineration directives) valid in Europe are coming into force meaning that not only values as dust, CO and Nox but also HCl, HF, SOx and heavy metal emisssions are meusured and monitored. Dry sorption based on calcium hydroxide is used to separate the acidic compontents while activated coke is dosed to separate the heavy metals and dioxins.
The order is the third installation of BERTSCH energy in France.
